Not the typical Italian traditional ceramics !!

@Ella Ceramista

Ella hails from Italy, ceramics has always been on her mind. A certain type of ceramics though, definitely not the typical italian traditional ceramics !!
In the ceramist's words " There’s this aspect of ceramics that’s astonishing: it varies from hand to hand in such opposite directions. I cherish nordic artists like Aage and Kasper Würtz and Anne Mette Hjortshøj, but also “minor” english ceramicists like Jo Marland. I strive for simplicity, intuition, and aesthetics."
For longer than one decade, she used to be an art director for a creative agency. In January 2020, she quit to switch to ceramics completely.
It was a tough call to make but that kind of creativity with strategy and commercial target approach didn’t fulfill her soul’s curiosity any further.
A sneak peek into her studio !!

She was desperate and hopeful, at a turning point. Beaming with now or never attitude, she stepped into experimentation and a certain degree of physical struggle too, she started to search for a revelation, for a new truth.
Currently, she is rebuilding her professional life into ceramics. She embarked on this journey, when a friend of hers introduced her to a Danish artist. Who came to Italy to establish his studio and needed to share a part of it. This is where her new story began !

I Quote "Honestly, it’s all so juggled up now, but I will never regret this decision, whatever happens ! I have my clay, my camera and my naïveté. For the moment, that is all what I need. " She truly inspired us.
